A recent study undertaken by the Lines into the tariff announced by the Suez Canal Authority from 1st October 2007 has identified major increases in the costs of transiting the Suez Canal. Lines therefore have to announce their intention to apply a Suez Canal Transit Charge of US$ 9/TEU (US$0.45/t) with effect from April 1st 2008.
Untill further notice this surcharge applies only for west bound traffic.
